VERMILLION, S.D. (KELO) — The Coyote defense came to play on Sunday morning in the teams intrasquad preseason scrimmage.
After a couple of practices that didn’t meet the USD defense’s standard, junior defensive back Jaylen Boehm-Peterson said the group really made the effort in film to find solutions that made up a solid showing in Sunday’s scrimmage.
“I feel like today was kind of the first day we just went out there and let it rip,” Boehm-Peterson said. “No missed assignments, everybody is playing hard, playing together, playing for each other. I feel like that’s what really caused our great performance today.”
USD has a little under two weeks before it welcomes in Central Connecticut State for the season opener.
