As NFL teams navigate the first week of the preseason this week, veteran edge rusher Von Miller is still looking for a new home in free agency.
Miller, 37, spent last season with the Washington Commanders and the future Hall of Famer showed he has plenty left in the tank.
The two-time Super Bowl champ tallied nine sacks and 19 pressures in 17 games, which is made more impressive by the fact that he was only on the field for 37% of snaps.

As the regular season draws near, Miller made sure to remind teams he’s still got it by posting a hype video ahead of what could be his 16th NFL season.
“I can roll out the bed and get 8 sacks,” Miller wrote in the post.
Von Miller lobbied for Cowboys union
One team we know Von Miller has interest in is the Dallas Cowboys.
We know that because Miller has made it quite clear he would love to play for his hometown team in an interview last month.
“It would be great to be a Dallas Cowboy,” he admitted to RJ Ochoa of Blogging The Boys. “I grew up here in Dallas. I’ve always had a special place in my heart for the Dallas Cowboys.
“This would be the first time that my mom and dad don’t have to fly to every single game. My mom has been to every single game that I’ve ever played in and she’d be able to drive to all the home games and I got so many family members here. My kids are here… Everybody’s here,” Miller added.

While it remains to be seen if the Cowboys are interested, they could use more help along the edge and we know owner Jerry Jones is open to making a significant addition before Week 1.
Dallas has a promising group that includes Rashan Gary, Donovan Ezeiruaku and Malachi Lawrence, but the jury is still out on Ezeiruaku and Lawrence, and Gary is coming off a campaign in which he didn’t post a single sack from Week 9 on.
Adding an established edge rusher like Miller certainly wouldn’t hurt, especially for a defense that is looking to rebound after a putrid showing in 2025.
A matter of when, not if
With a premium on quality edge rushers, a guy like Miller who posted nine sacks last season isn’t likely to be available for much longer.
Whether it’s with the Cowboys or another team, look for Miller to find a new home at some point before Week 1.
