The start of the 2026 high school field hockey season in Seacoast New Hampshire and southern Maine is coming soon. Players and teams are poised to showcase their talents.
Coaches from each Seacoast high school field hockey team were invited to nominate a for 2026 Preseason Player of the Year.
How do I cast my vote?
Voting can be completed through the ballot below. Voting closes at midnight Thursday, Aug. 20.
How do we learn who wins?
The winner will be announced in a story published Friday, Aug. 21 at seacoastonline.com/sports and fosters.com/sports.
Who are the nominees?
Madison Evans, Traip Academy, senior, goalie

Evans recorded 99 saves in net for Traip Academy last season, and will be a key player for the Rangers in 2026, head coach Libby Hite said.
Amalia Gloss, Exeter, senior, goalie
Gloss recorded over 120 saves for Exeter last season in 2025, and was also a Division I all-state honorable mention.
Scarlett Gray, Dover, senior, goalie

In 2025, Gray recorded 99 saves and posted five shutouts while being selected to Division I all-state second team.
Hannah Main, Oyster River, senior, midfielder

Main played a huge part in helping lead the Bobcats to the Division II semifinals in 2025.
Fiona McAfee, Winnacunnet, senior, forward/midfield

McAfee led the Warriors with 17 goals and eight assists, and was a 2025 Division I all-state first-team selection.
Sarah Orso, York, senior, goalie

Orso was a force for York in net last season, and is expected to have another strong season patrolling the net.
Leah Walsh, St. Thomas Aquinas, junior, midfielder

Walsh played a big role in helping lead the St. Thomas Aquinas field hockey team to a Division II state championship in 2025.
Hazel Stout, Marshwood, senior, midfield

Stout scored six goals and had four assists for Marshwood in 2025.
