Here are the candidates for the Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union top returning girls soccer player in the Knoxville area entering the 2026 TSSAA soccer season. Voters have until noon on Aug. 20 to submit their responses. Knox News reserves the right to remove an individual from a poll if it suspects any voting irregularities. Madi Bowlin, Bearden, Sr.: Bowlin earned All-District and All-Region honors last season with 11 goals and 10 assists on Bearden's Class 3A state champion squad. Kennedy Lucas, Bearden, Sr.: The senior midfielder is entering her fourth year as a starter and finished 2025 with five assists and three goals. Sophie Keener, Bearden, Sr.: Keener was the state tournament MVP as she helped hold Science Hill, Franklin and Houston scoreless in Bearden's state tournament run. She had 17 total shoutouts and allowed just nine goals. Ella Bennett, CAK, So.: Bennett, a forward, was the region offensive player of the year as a freshman for CAK with 12 goals and nine assists. Olivia Law, CAK, So.: CAK's freshmen forward duo also included Law, who added 11 goals and five assists of her own. Gianna Notarianni, Catholic, Sr.: Notarianni, a Xavier soccer commit, had eight goals in 2025. Ava Upshaw, Farragut, Jr.: The junior forward scored 15 goals for Farragut and received her second round of district and region honors. Hadley Black, Greenback, So.: Black recorded 21 goals, seven assists, led Greenback to a District 2-A championship and was a PrepXtra selection. Austynn Clemons, Halls, Jr.: Clemons was a PrepXtra selection in 2025 as one of the top defenders on Halls, while adding a goal and an assist. Regan Hurd, Halls, Sr.: Halls' elite defensive unit will be led by Hurd as a team captain at center back, who also had four goals and an assist. Chloe Huml, Jefferson County, Sr.: Huml was a first team All-District defender playing center mid with two goals. Kayla Underwood, Lakeway Christian, Sr.: Underwood is entering her fifth year as a starter and recorded over 50 goals. Sadie Robinson, Loudon, Sr.: Robinson has scored 75 total goals acorss her career at Loudon, including 28 last season. Katy Emory, Maryville, Sr.: Maryville's experienced goalkeeper returns from a 2025 season with district honors and 151 total saves. Dory Georges, Morristown West, Sr.: Georges scored 22 goals last year and added three assists. Marleigh Frazier, Oak Ridge, Sr.: The Cincinnati commit is one of the top goalkeepers in the Knoxville area with six shutouts last season. She also had a goal and two assists. Piper Scarbrough, Powell, Sr.: Scarbrough logged 12 goals and seven assists last season. Avery Smith, Powell, Sr.: Smith, as another forward opposite Scarbrough, added 13 goals and two assists. Addison Brewer, Sevier County, So: As a freshman, Brewer had 19 goals and 12 assists for Sevier County. Lilly Faulkner, Sevier County, Jr.: Faulkner returns from a season with PrepXtra first team honors for scoring 24 goals with seven assists. Bella Hicks, Sweetwater, Sr.: Hicks only appeared in three games before tearing her ACL, but she still managed six goals in those first three contests. Brooks Hamilton, Seymour, Jr.: Hamilton earned PrepXtra honors with 29 goals and 19 assists. Mary Mac Emery, Webb, Sr.: Emery was a PrepXtra first team defender for controlling a Webb defense that allowed only 14 goals last season and reached the Division II-AA state championship game. Simone Romain, Webb, Jr.: Romain returns as one of Webb's top offensive options with eight goals and nine assists. Brynn Bush, West, So.: Bush was the PrepXtra second team goalkeeper in 2025 with 67 total saves and 11 shutouts. Charleigh Freeman, West, Jr.: Freeman led West with 15 goals and 10 assists last season. Clair Rigsby, West, So.: As a freshman, the forward logged eight goals and six assists.
