There was some debate between a few media members about whether the Washington Huskies' practice on Tuesday should be considered the ninth, the number of open practices Jedd Fisch's team has held, or the tenth, since Sunday's workout was closed to both the public and the media. No matter which number people chose to go with, it was by far the most explosive workout of fall camp for Fisch's offense.

The biggest play of the day went to wide receiver Chris Lawson, who continued to build on a strong fall performance, as he broke away from the defense on a go route to haul in a 70-yard touchdown from second-string quarterback Elijah Brown. Kennesaw State transfer Christian Moss also built on what has been an impressive camp. Early in the day, he hauled in a 13-yard touchdown from Demond Williams Jr. on a perfectly timed throw to his back shoulder during a 7-on-7 period, before he broke away from cornerback Rahshawn Clark on a deep post route during a full team drill for a 60-yard gain. It was also a very nice day for sophomore tight end Baron Naone, who went up and over All-Big Ten honorable mention safety Alex McLaughlin for a 15-yard score in a 7-on-7 drill. After McLaughlin intercepted quarterback Kini McMillan in a one-on-one rep earlier on in practice, and letting the second-year quarterback know all about it, offensive linemen John Mills and Drew Azzopardi were quick to run into the end zone and return the favor.

In a practice where the offense stole the show, special teams coordinator Chris Petrilli had the quote of the day when asked about the kick coverage team. "We have our couple usual psychos that are awesome; Devin Hyde and Ramzak (Fruean) are unbelievable," Petrilli said. "We play starters on there, so, you got to look today, like, you'd see (linebacker Xe'ree Alexander) out there, you see (safety Rylon Dillard-Allen) out there, and can guys step up and help take some of those reps, maybe. But if not, good luck trying to get those guys to give up those reps. Like, they love it. The core guys are the core guys, but Ramzak, of course, has been a good addition." Here are some other notes from Tuesday's practice. Fall camp notebook

For the first time since arriving on Montlake from Mississippi State through the transfer portal, defensive tackle Kai McClendon was able to participate in some individual drills as he continues to rehab from a torn ACL that he suffered in the spring of 2025 with the Bulldogs.

Sophomore cornerback Ramonz Adams was in a gold non-contact jersey, which led to a few first-team reps for freshman Elijah Durr alongside his classmate Jeron Jones. The defense came up with a pair of interceptions on the day during team periods. The first came from linebacker Buddah Al-Uqdah on a diving play off a deflected pass from Williams, while the other came from safety Paul Mencke Jr., who returned to action after being limited for the last week on an overthrown pass from quarterback Dash Beierly. This is the first of five consecutive practice days for the Huskies ahead of Saturday's mock game, with Wednesday's slated for 9:15 a.m.
