\nIt's a nickname that never went mainstream in professional sports, but maybe it should on Aug. 15 in Buffalo. For the first time, the Buffalo Bills are going to play a game at the new Highmark Stadium – a project that had been years in the making.
\nAnd while the early returns aren't the most promising following some obstructed view seats going viral, it's still home for the Bills fans – for better or worse. It is the new headquarters for Bills Mafia, where no folding table is safe. It's the place that will almost certainly host the remainder of Josh Allen's prime NFL years.
\nSo why not celebrate it?
\nSure, it's just the preseason and there is a bigger party coming down the road in about a month's time. For now, the Bills and Carolina Panthers have a preseason tune-up to take care of. And Highmark Stadium also needs a trial run before it's ready for prime time.
