What was the best pass Jordan Love threw during the 2025 season? Well, both the Green Bay Packers quarterback and head coach had the same answer when asked that question by Kevin Clark of ESPN. The pick? A touchdown pass that didn't even count, and ended in a key player getting hurt. Both Love and LaFleur picked what would have been a 39-yard touchdown pass to Jayden Reed during the first quarter of the Packers' Week 2 win over the Washington Commanders at Lambeau Field. "Probably the one that didn't count versus Washington," LaFleur told Clark. The touchdown was nullified by a holding penalty on rookie Anthony Belton. Not only did the touchdown come back, but Reed broke his collarbone on the play, and he went on to have surgery and miss a significant part of the 2025 season. Dusty Evely has the All-22 and breakdown of the play:
Just went through all of Love's throws & tried to do a top 10 recently. A ton of great throws, but this was absolutely at the top of my list. The read, placement & movement in the pocket is tremendous. https://t.co/QaASBMVNsbpic.twitter.com/8UcoDLdi2i — Dusty (@DustyEvely) August 13, 2026 Love navigated the pocket to avoid pressure coming from his right, stepped up into the pocket, reset his feet and threw a perfect ball to Reed, who was running deep from left to right. Love's pass led Reed towards the pylon, beating the coverage and giving Reed a chance to both get two feet in bounds and get into the end zone. Last year, when asked this same question about Love's best throw from the 2024 season, LaFleur picked the 29-yard completion to Christian Watson under heavy pressure at Ford Field in Detroit.
