In the coming days, the 2026 high school football season officially begins for a vast majority of the country.
As a result, it will mark the start of the junior and senior high school seasons for Alabama Crimson Tide football commits currently at the prep level, a list which includes some of the nation's elite prospects at their respective positions.
Some of those same prospects are also coming off huge 2025 seasons, with many on teams which will contend for state championships this fall.
Here is where every current Alabama commit will play high school football this season. This list includes players who are committed to Alabama as of Tuesday, Aug. 18.
Quarterback
- Elijah Haven (Dunham, Louisiana)
- Trent Seaborn (Thompson, Alabama)
- Kingston Preyear (Benjamin Russell, Alabama)
- Charles Scott Jr. (Huguenot, Virginia)
Alabama currently has four quarterbacks committed between their 2027-28 classes, two of which are from in-state programs in Thompson's Trent Seaborn and Benjamin Russell's Kingston Preyear. Charles Scott Jr. enters his junior season at Virginia's Huguenot, while five-star Elijah Haven returns at Dunham School in Louisiana as a USA TODAY Sports preseason First Team All-America selection.
Running Back
- Nigel Newkirk (Gainesville, Georgia)
- Tai Phillips (Irmo, South Carolina)
Both of Alabama's running back commits come via the 2027 cycle in Nigel Newkirk and Tai Phillips, both of which enter their senior seasons. Newkirk will play at Georgia's Gainesville High School, while Phillips suits up at South Carolina's Irmo.
Wide Receiver
- Osani Gayles (IMG Academy, Florida)
- Cedrick Simmons (Selma, Alabama)
Top 2027 wide receiver Osani Gayles will suit up for one of the nation's top teams this fall, Florida's IMG Academy. Fellow 2027 commit Cedrick Simmons will play for in-state Selma High School coming off a monster 2025 season that included 106 receptions for 2,192 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Tight End
- Michael Nnabuife (St. Frances Academy, Maryland)
- Oakley Keegan (Liverpool, New York)
Both of Alabama's 2027 tight ends currently committed will play this season outside of the southeast. Michael Nnabuife will play for one of the nation's premier teams, Maryland's St. Frances Academy, while Oakley Keegan suits up for Liverpool High School in New York coming off an injury last season.
Offensive Line
- Stafford Willis (Arab, Alabama)
- Anthony Blalock Jr. (Fitch, Ohio)
One of Alabama's two offensive linemen committed will play in-state this season in Stafford Willis, a 2027 prospect at Arab High School. Alabama 2028 commit Anthony Blalock Jr. will suit up for Fitch High School in Ohio.
Defensive Line
- Avrian Pauley (McGill-Toolen, Alabama)
Avrian Pauley, a 2027 defensive line commit, will suit up for in-state program McGill-Toolen this fall. Pauley should be one of the top pass rushers in Alabama this fall.
Edge Rusher
- Jeremiah Beverly (Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa, Alabama)
- Tyler Younger (Greater Atlanta Christian, Georgia)
- Tysir Young (Middletown, Delaware)
One of Alabama's edge rusher commits is a local product for the Crimson Tide in Jeremiah Beverly, who will play in 2026 at in-state Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa High School. Tyler Younger will play at Greater Atlanta Christian in Georgia, while Tysir Young is Delaware's top 2028 prospect out of Middletown High School.
Linebacker
- Dustin Henry (St. Frances Academy, Maryland)
- Ryquan Butler (Loachapoka, Alabama)
Alabama has a pair of 2028 linebackers committed in Dustin Henry and Ryquan Butler. Henry is a teammate of the aforementioned Nnabuife at national power St. Frances Academy, while Butler is likely set for a big season at in-state Loachapoka High School.
Cornerback
- Darrius White (Creekside, Georgia)
- Braylen Gibbs (Knoxville Catholic, Tennessee)
Alabama has a 2027 and 2028 cornerback committed in Darrius White and Braylen Gibbs, both of which will play for prominent programs in Georgia and Tennessee this fall. White will suit up for Georgia's Creekside, while Gibbs is set to play for Tennessee's Knoxville Catholic.
Special Teams
- Luke Cody (Lumberton, Texas)
Alabama's final player currently committed that will suit up this fall is 2027 kicker Luke Cody. Cody made 10 field goals last season at Lumberton High School in Texas.
