Las Cruces Public Schools will hold its second annual fall sports media day at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Field of Dreams. Athletes from football, volleyball, soccer and cross country teams across the school district will participate, alongside members of each school's marching band.
LCPS is continuing the media day events from last season. This will be the first of three, with events for winter and spring sports to follow as their seasons approach.
All four high schools within LCPS will take part. Coaches have chosen two to four athletes from their respective teams to represent Las Cruces High, Mayfield, Organ Mountain and Centennial. The athletes will take part in professional headshots, media interviews, press conference-style sessions, social media content creation, promotional opportunities and interactive activities.
