The Arizona Cardinals picked up their first season win on Thursday, beating the Las Vegas Raiders on the road 27-14. Jacoby Brissett and Gardner Minshew combined for three touchdown passes, and the defense didn't allow a point in the second half. The outcome wasn't important, but preseason games do matter. Who were the winners and losers from the Cardinals' win on Thurday? Winner: RB Jeremiyah Love Love got his first NFL game action and didn't disappoint. He struggled a little bit early when all starters were in the game, but once the Raiders' second unit got in the game, he dazzled a couple of times. He got 14 touches in 24 snaps. He had 58 yards on 11 rushes and caight three passes for 14 yards. Loser: RB Trey Benson Benson again missed the game, presumably for the same reason he missed last week's game. Early last week, his surgically repaired knee flared up. The longer this goes, the less likely it is he can do enough to make the roster when the Cardinals have a deep running back room. Winner: Mike LaFleur After Carson Beck and Kedon Slovis put up big numbers in the Hall of Fame Game, Jacoby Brissett and Gardner Minshew were a combined 19-of-21 passing for 145 yards and three touchdowns. In two games, the passing game has five touchdown passes. The Cardinals have scored 57 points in two games, and that makes LaFleur and his offense seem amazing so far. Loser: OL Chase Bisontis Bisontis, the Cardinals' second-round pick, went down with a knee injury, and it appears he will miss significant time. Winners: WRs Jalen Brooks, Simi Fehoko Brooks led the Cardinals in receiving for the second straight game. He had six catches for 62 yards and a touchdown. Fehoko had three catches for 23 yards, but dating back to last preseason, he has had a touchdown reception in four straight games in the preseason. Both might not be able to make the roster. The competition is stiff, especially since Fehoko is so good on special teams.
