Wrexham and Birmingham City are once again set to go head-to-head this season in what some have billed ‘The Hollywood Derby’ thanks to the clubs’ owners.
The Red Dragons were bought by Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac all the way back in 2021, and they have since taken the Welsh team to the second tier of English football.
NFL icon Tom Brady is also an investor in an English soccer team, Birmingham City, and in turn, has developed a friendly rivalry with Rob and Ryan.
Now, ahead of Wrexham and Birmingham getting their Championship campaigns underway, Reynolds and Mac have been asked about Brady.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac comment on facing Tom Brady’s Birmingham City
When being interviewed by Men In Blazers, the Wrexham owners were asked: “Which team are you most looking forward to facing? And is it, I guess I’m asking, is it Tom Brady’s mesmerisingly white teeth that haunt you with the last thing before you go to sleep that you see in your eyes?”
Reynolds responded by poking fun at Brady’s teeth before calling him handsome.
He said: “I mean, it’s always a full moon when he smiles at night. He’s giving you old high beams right there. Uh, that is, I’m telling you right now, though, he’s a very handsome man.
“Very handsome. Unreal. Tom Wagner, too.”
Mac then replied: “Who am I looking forward to playing? I can’t, I can’t say there’s any one team. Well, certainly Birmingham, just been fun as a part of the experience.
“Just to know those owners so well and to be able to go to the games together and sort of shake hands and have a drink and have fun and then kind of hate each other for 90 minutes and then afterwards go back to the pub and have a good time and talk about workouts or whatever Tom talks about.”
Birmingham and Wrexham faced off twice last season, with Ryan and Rob’s team failing to pick up a win.
They drew the first meeting 1-1 before losing 2-0 in the reverse fixture back in April, 2026.
Wrexham and Birmingham are due to face off for the first time this season on August 28 at the Racecourse Ground.
